On this day, the 8th Avatar of Vishnu, Krishna Avatar, took birth.

Life of Krishna

Throughout his life, Krishna fought the wicked . As a baby he sucked the life out of the murderous  demoness Pootana. Then he killed various asuras, the tyrant Kamsa, and them monster snake Kaliya. Krishna was smart and strong. The advice given by him to the Pandava hero Arjuna during the Mahabharata War, became the Holy book Bhagvad Gita.
